GBA to Enter The Wild

Buena Vista Games today announced a Game Boy Advance tie-in to The Wild, the upcoming animated feature from Walt Disney Pictures.

Appropriately titled Walt Disney Pictures Presents The Wild, the game -- like the movie -- follows Samson the Lion in his quest to save his son, Ryan, who has been accidentally shipped from his New York City Zoo home back into the wild. Along the way, Samson's helped by Benny the squirrel.

"The Wild video game is an exciting adventure with wild animal characters and unique settings based on the upcoming CGI animated film," said Sean Ratcliffe at Buena Vista Games. "Kids will love the zany challenges and obstacles that they will encounter in the handheld video game as they help Samson and Benny make their way from the city to the jungle."

The game will offer 18 levels during which players take the role of both Samson and Benny. The game is scheduled to ship April 4, 2006.

Look for The Wild feature film -- starring Kiefer Sutherland, Greg Cipes, Jim Belushi, Janeane Garofalo, and William Shatner -- to arrive in theaters April 14.
